Yes Telecom to cut staff – UK

British former MVNO Yes Telecom, which is owned by MNO Vodafone, has announced that as a consequence of a business review it will make 15 staff redundant.

The plans were announced to Yes Telecom staff at their Manchester headquarters although Vodafone and Yes Telecom refused to divulge specifics regarding the redundancies.

Commenting on the news a Vodafone spokesperson said: “Vodafone and Yes have recently undertaken a comprehensive review of the Yes business. As a result, Yes is making some changes to its structure so that it can manage the challenges of the current trading environment while continuing to provide its customers and partners with the best possible service. We anticipate that 15 people are likely to leave the business.”
