Virgin Mobile subscribers get free music downloads – India

Virgin Mobile India has announced that it has entered in to an agreement with QuickPlay Media to develop and launch a music download service for the MVNO which is to be entitled ‘Vmusic’.

‘Vmusic’ will cover a wide variety of Indian and western music and will include over 100,000 tracks from major music labels such as Sony BMG. The service will be free for one year to Virgin Mobile subscribers who use the recently launched vJazz handset.

Announcing the agreement between the two companies QuickPlay Media, President and Chief Executive Officer, Wayne Purboo said: "The collaboration with QuickPlay (and) Virgin Mobile India will transform their customers' mobile experience by providing them with access to music. By working with QuickPlay, Virgin Mobile India also ensures expansion of its multimedia services to meet customer preferences."
