Rumours persist that Blyk will halt further European expansion – The Netherlands

Advertising focused MVNO Blyk, which allows users to receive free minutes and texts in return for receiving targeted advertisements, has apparently put on hold its plans to introduce its service to the Dutch and Belgian mobile markets.

Although media reports are rife about the supposed curtailing of its European expansion plans Erik Kip, Chief Executive Officer of Blyk Netherlands, neither confirmed nor denied the rumours. He released a statement saying that there was no other news than what was already said in February and that plans to enter the Dutch and Belgian mobile landscape remain unchanged, with a tentative launch date scheduled for H209.
